If you want one of Millennium's 2027 investment internships you are already too late
Earlier this year, hedge fund Millennium launched a new investment internship program commencing in 2027. Given that various hedge funds are currently recruiting interns for next year, you might think now's the time to apply.
It's not.

Places on Millennium's investment internship program have been filled already.
Millennium declined to comment for this article. Business Insider reported on the launch of Millennium's investment internship in February. At that time, Business Insider said the fund was thinking of hiring 20 "investment obsessed college students" globally. In fact, it's hired 30. They will be dispersed between Millennium's offices New York, London and Hong Kong.
Millennium's investment internship is a highly desirable entity. Interns on the program will work directly with Millennium's senior portfolio managers and be considered for full time analyst roles if they sufficiently impress.
It's not clear how many people applied for the positions exactly, but it's understood that a large number of high calibre candidates very quickly put themselves forward for the investment internship roles. The average acceptance rate for Millennium's other internships, which are in areas like engineering, quantitative research and operations, is just 0.5%. The firm will begin accepting applications to these roles from August.
If you've missed the investment internship opportunities at Millennium for 2027, Citadel is still advertising for equity analysis interns. Various other hedge funds listed here offer internships too, although not all will give you a clear path to portfolio management. This was presumably why Millennium's roles were so popular.
