JP Morgans Wilson in New York move

Andrew Wilson will relocate to New York and co-head ECM and syndicate with Kevin Willsey. Tim Main will move from New York to London and join Harry Hampson as co-head of European ECM and syndicate. David Walker, who has been leading the European syndication desk in London, is heading back to New York to join the industrial group within the investment banking department. Todd Bakar, 34, a managing director and head of technology research at Hambrecht & Quist, has been named director of research. Winner of the 1998 Institutional Investor award, Bakar has spent 11 years with the bank and will succeed Paul Barney Hallingby, who has served as interim director of research since August. Hallingby will remain vice-chairman and an executive officer of the company. Tom Hester, 33, has moved to ING Barings' Hong Kong office from London where he was head of South East Asian sales. Hester will head Asian equity sales outside Japan. He will report to regional head of equities, Eugene Marais. Teather & Greenwood has appointed Peter Ashworth as head of smaller companies research. Ashworth joins the company from Albert E Sharp, where he was a smaller companies analyst covering both fully listed and AIM stocks. A stockbroker for 18 years, he will report to Guy Field, head of research. David Gould, formerly at Credit Lyonnais Laing, has joined Teather's institutional sales department. In his 34-year career, he has fulfilled similar roles at Gilbert Elliott, Morgan Grenfell and Grieveson Grant.
