McKinsey, Boston Consulting and Accenture, in that order, are the employers of choice in the poll of more than 70,000 students in 15 countries conducted by the Universum research company.
Goldman Sachs runs them close in fourth place, cited by 15% of respondents, compared to 21% choosing McKinsey.
Morgan Stanley at 10%, and Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase, both with 9%, also score highly.
Among other types of firm, Nokia, L'Oréal and Nestlé are popular. Students were each given five choices.
Business and other students ranked career development as their top priority for the first three years after graduating.
But they also said they wanted a balance between their professional and personal lives. Travel and challenging tasks at work were other priorities.
Few said they wanted to contribute to society.
