Bank of America's big Morgan Stanley rates trader slipped away after three short years
Remember 2023? That was the year when Bank of America began its strategy of hiring as few people as possible and hoping that existing staff left of their own accords. Three years later, multiple sources say Haj Khlifa has gone. BofA declined to comment on his exit. It's not clear why he left.
Haj Khlifa is a euro swaps trader. Such traders have been in demand from hedge funds and from other banks. There are suggestions that Haj Khlifa might be joining Citi. At BofA, he reported to Paris-based Kal El-Wahab, the head of EMEA linear rates trading, who is still in his seat.
